The devastating earthquake that has hit southern Turkey and northern Syria since last Monday has claimed the lives of thousands as rescuers dig and create new graves.
In southern Turkey, many car parks, stadiums and gyms have been converted into places to house corpses awaiting burial.
While distressed families went in search of the bodies of their relatives.
In northern Syria, some bodies have been buried without identification and new graves have been dug in addition to the massive destruction that has befallen dozens of cities, whether in Idlib or around Aleppo, Latakia and others.

The mother is buried with her daughter, and the father with his son
Some residents of the city of Aleppo explained that they could not even observe the usual funeral rites. Some of them said that they had to bury their dead immediately after they were pulled out from under the rubble.
Others also pointed out that sometimes a mother was buried with her daughter and a father with his son, according to the AFP report.
This is happening as the bodies of Syrians arriving from the Turkish side continue to flow north. An Al-Arabiya correspondent reported that the number of corpses arriving from Turkey through the crossings had increased to more than 1,242 corpses.
At the same time, the number of victims rose today, Sunday, to about 30 thousand people, 24,617 of whom died in Turkey, and more than 5,200 in all regions of Syria.
