Egyptian football star Mohamed Abu Trika believes that attacks on Islam have become “fashionable” after the incident with the burning of a copy of the Koran in Sweden.

And the star of the Egyptian national team and former club Al-Ahly wrote on his Twitter account: “It is strange that in this era it has become fashionable to attack Islam and the Holy Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and burn the Holy Quran, thinking that it will prevent or put an end to Islam in their countries and the world.”

And he added: “The Lord Almighty says (they want to put out God’s light with their mouth, and God will make His light even if the unbelievers hate it).”

It is strange that this era, the fashion of which has become to attack Islam and the Noble Messenger, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, and burn the Noble Qur’an, thinking that this will prevent or end Islam in their countries and the world.

And he continued: “Europe and the West want a sympathetic, disadvantaged Muslim, like the mayor of London or the prime minister of Scotland. Muslims dealing with their problems is an impromptu impulse not backed by formal decision making. centers in their countries, so the opponents have become bolder and more offensive. So will we see this time a response from decision makers or, as usual, the people are ahead of them .. and a boycott of French products is just around the corner.

And the day before yesterday, on Wednesday, and with the first days of Eid al-Adha, an extremist Swede carried out his threat of desecrating the Holy Quran and, under the protection of official authorities, proceeded to tear and burn the Noble Quran near the main mosque of the capital Stockholm.

And the Novosti agency reported that this extremist did what he did in front of about 200 Muslims, as he tore pages from the Koran and wiped his shoe on them, and then smeared the pages of the Holy Quran with grease and bacon. and set it on fire.

After this “shameful” act, the Arab and international reaction condemned the incident in all Arab countries, especially at the Al-Azhar Mosque.

Al-Azhar condemned the incident and called on the governments of Islamic and Arab countries to “take a serious and united position regarding those violations that should never be tolerated.”
