African Union Commission Chairman Moussa Faki Mahamat said the continental organization was organizing a national reconciliation conference in Libya in a last-ditch effort to restore stability to the conflict-torn country.

This was announced by the President of the Commission to Agence France-Presse today, Sunday, during a press conference dedicated to the end of the African Union summit, which lasted two days.

He added: “We have met with various parties and are working with them to determine the date and location of the national conference.”
