Abu Sunna expressed his satisfaction with participating in the first edition of the Oman Conference on Environmental Sustainability, saying, “I am very pleased that the Sultanate of Oman is interested in the aspect of environmental sustainability because it is one of the main requirements in the field of climate change. affects every country in the world.”

An Egyptian official said: “The relationship between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Egypt is an eternal and permanent cooperation, and we, as the Ministry of the Environment of Egypt, are in very close cooperation with the Oman Environment Agency, and we have many mutual visits to exchange ideas and experience, for example, in the field of air pollution monitoring and indicators. “Eco-efficiency assessment, nature reserves, etc., so it’s an ongoing relationship.”

He added: “Among the important issues for the Sultanate of Oman is its participation in the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, in addition to the production of green hydrogen.”

He explained: “Egypt has launched a green hydrogen strategy through which we share experiences with our brothers in the Arab countries and attract investment in technology. Green hydrogen is very important for Egypt and we hope to become a source of energy. the center of the world with elements such as solar energy.”

He stated that there are many initiatives for cooperation through the Council of Arab Ministers of the Environment and the League of Arab States, and within these Arab structures and one Arab house, many activities are carried out in the field, for example, climate change, addressing air pollution in general, and in many areas, and in every area. It has a collective program in which Arab countries participate, and many progress reports are made every year, in addition to bilateral cooperation, as an example between Egypt and the Sultanate of Oman.
