An earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale occurred on Friday afternoon in the state of Konya in central Turkey, its epicenter was registered in the Aragli region at a depth of 7 km from the surface of the earth.

The Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) said in a statement that the quake hit at 17:01 (1401 GMT).

AFAD stated that the earthquake occurred in the Aragli district of the city of Konya, while the state of Konya announced in a tweet that it had not received news of the damage caused by this earthquake.

He also said searches were ongoing at the scene to ensure there was no damage.
