Apple released the second beta of watchOS 9.4 to developers today for testing. The software update will be released two weeks after the first beta.
Developers must get the configuration profile from the Apple Development Center to install the watchOS 9.4 upgrade.
After it has been set up, watchOS 9.4 may be downloaded through the iPhone’s dedicated Apple Watch app by selecting General > Software update. An Apple Watch must be within range of the iPhone it is paired with, have 50% battery life, and be placed on the charger to update to new software.
With 31 additional emojis now supported by watchOS 9.4, these new characters include a donkey, goose, blackbird, shaking head, hyacinth, pea pod, and more.
With the release of iOS 16.4, support has been added for Web Push notifications sent to an iPhone and configured for websites added to the iPhone’s Home Screen.
Following multiple iterations of beta testing, watchOS 9.4 is anticipated to be released alongside iOS 16.4 in the spring.
