FC Barcelona has released a statement revealing the nature of the injury sustained by French international Osman Dembele in yesterday’s match against Girona in matchday 19 of the Spanish Football League.

Dembele fell on the field without anyone’s intervention, in the 25th minute, and could not complete the match, so Pedri came on instead.

Barcelona said in a brief statement via Twitter: “Tests carried out last night, Saturday, on first team player Ousmane Dembele showed that he had a left thigh anterior rectal injury.”
