Belgian model Rose Bertram has responded to recent French newspaper rumors that she has entered into a relationship with Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe.
Bertram, 28, who was married to Dutch player Gregory van der Wiel and separated from him in 2022, released a statement on her Instagram account denying a relationship with Mbappe and launching an aggressive attack on the press.
Bertram wrote: “I usually don’t react to gossip or rumors, but there is a limit that must not be crossed. In the past few weeks, lies have been circulated about me that have caused serious harm to my family and me.”
She added: “2023 started off with hate and cyberbullying for me and sadly it is a sad picture of what our world has become. Nothing said or written is true.”
And she continued: “The worst thing is that people really believe this nonsense, although there is not a single piece of evidence that has been said about me, and there are many lies that ruin my reputation and image.”
And she continued: “In a world where we get visits, clicks and likes and that’s all that matters, sometimes we forget that we are still human and cyberbullying can unfortunately ruin our lives, so I thought that I need to speak up. because if we let someone say what they want, we can start believing it’s okay.”
And she concluded: “There are many other people who are dealing with this and it is pure evil. I appreciate your support for my family, friends and everyone who supports me. Spread the truth, love and be kind, because in the end love will always prevail.”
