Bitcoin, the most famous digital currency in the world, is approaching its worst yearly performance since 2018 and today, Friday, the currency was trading below the $16,500 level.

And by 16:28 Moscow time, bitcoin fell by 1.02% to $16,461.88, according to CoinDesk data.

Thus, the digital currency for the first time since November 2020 fell below the 16,500 mark.
