Qatari footballer captain Sultan Bakhit Al Kuwari, who previously played for Al Sadd and Al Gharafa, died on Saturday.

The Qatar Football Association mourned captain Sultan Bakhit Al-Kuwari in their posts on communication sites, saying “We belong to God and to Him we will return… With hearts that believe in God’s will and destiny.” The late Qatar Football Association mourns, God willing (player Sultan Bakhit Al-Kuwari), the former player of our national team.”

The club added: “We express our deepest condolences to his family and relatives, asking the Lord Almighty to shower on him the abundance of His mercy and inspire his family for patience and comfort.”

Nadia Al-Sadd and Al-Gharafah also mourned the deceased, expressing “deep condolences to his family and relatives and asking God to shower on him the abundance of his mercy and inspire his family for patience and comfort.”
