Michael Cohen, a former lawyer for former US President Donald Trump, launched a GoFundMe fundraising page to help him fight a lawsuit Trump filed against him on Wednesday.

Trump filed suit against Cohen in a Florida court seeking $500 million in damages, accusing him of violating a confidentiality agreement between a client and his agent.

And Cohen is one of the witnesses who testified before a jury in the silent payoff case against porn actress Stormy Daniels, which concluded that Trump was indicted, becoming the first former or current U.S. president to face criminal charges.

Cohen admitted to paying money to Daniels on Trump’s behalf, and was sentenced to three years in prison for a number of crimes, including buying silence from a pornographic actress and tax evasion.

Trump denies any wrongdoing and says he is the victim of “political harassment” by Manhattan Attorney General Alvin Bragg, a Democrat, to cripple his 2024 presidential campaign.
