The head of the State Duma of Russia, Vyacheslav Volodin, said that Germany and France should pay compensation to the residents of Donbass after the statement of ex-Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel regarding the Minsk agreements.
And the speaker of the State Duma in a statement today, on Saturday, said that after Merkel admitted that the failure to comply with the Minsk agreements was deliberate, Germany and France bear moral and material responsibility for what is happening in Ukraine, and they will have to pay compensation to the residents of Donbass for 8 years of genocide and destruction .
Volodin pointed out that the pre-planned failure to fulfill the obligations assumed when signing the international agreement is not only a loss of confidence, but also “a crime on the part of the parties that signed the Minsk agreements, and Merkel, (former French President François) Hollande and (former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
And the speaker of the State Duma added: “In the beginning, in 2014, the foreign ministers of Germany and France, as guarantors of the peaceful development of events (which took place in Kiev), signed a document-agreement between the legitimate Ukrainian authorities and representatives of the opposition. Everything ended with a coup in Kiev, a genocide 6 million population of Donbass.
It should be noted that recently Merkel said that the Minsk agreements (to resolve the situation in the Donbass) were designed to give Kyiv enough time to strengthen its military potential.
For his part, Russian President Vladimir Putin also criticized the words of the former German chancellor about the Minsk agreements, pointing out that the agreements were a matter of trust.
Putin said: “Now, of course, the question of trust arises … Trust, of course, is almost zero, but after Merkel’s statements, of course, the question arises: how do you agree on something? And is it possible to negotiate! With whom? And where are the guarantees! It’s certainly a question.”
