Colombian Juan Cuadrado has expressed his desire to play alongside his former Juventus teammate, Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, captain of Saudi football club Al-Nasr.

Ronaldo was friends with Juan Cuadrado during the 3 years that the Portuguese star played at Juventus, from 2018 to 2021.

Cuadrado has been unable to agree on a contract extension with Juventus, which expired on June 30, as he is currently examining several offers.

The Colombian player spoke about the possibility of a move to the Saudi Arabian league, but jokingly said that it was Cristiano Ronaldo who was preventing him from moving to Al Nasr next season.

Cuadrado said in statements to the Spanish newspaper AC: “At the moment I still have the enthusiasm and desire to compete, Ronaldo is not around and he does not want me.”

And he concluded: “My agent Andre Martinez was in Europe and spoke to me about several proposals. There are options that we will analyze in order to choose the best ones. I feel calm and think, and I ask God to help me make the best decision.”
