According to her, tea contains a large amount of amino acids, vitamins, minerals and polyphenols – active metabolites that are beneficial to human health. They are also powerful antioxidants that protect plants from ultraviolet rays and fight microorganisms.

She says: “The antioxidant properties of polyphenols protect the body’s cells from free radicals. They also reduce the risk of developing cardiovascular disease and some chronic diseases, including Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, type 2 diabetes, and some types of cancer.”

According to her, green tea is more beneficial because it contains more polyphenols than other types. Green tea and oolong tea also contain large amounts of epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), a polyphenol group.
She says: “EGCG has a positive effect on body weight and lipids, as it lowers blood triglycerides, and in some countries there are even functional drinks with a high content of EGCG. However, their use is limited by the recommendation to consume no more than one bottle per day, since high doses of EGCG can damage the liver, impair kidney function, and increase the risk of tumors.

And he adds: as for black tea, it has less polyphenols, but it reduces the risk of developing caries, because it contains fluoride. In addition, it contains a fraction of theophylline, a metabolite of caffeine. This substance improves the condition of the bronchi and blood vessels and is used in the treatment of a number of diseases, especially lung diseases.

She says: “Tea contains caffeine, which can be dangerous to health, as it has a stimulating effect on the nervous system, and if consumed in excess, it can cause insomnia and anxiety, and negatively affect the heart and blood vessels. deficiency because the tannin present in tea can interfere with the absorption of iron from food.”

The expert advises against drinking concentrated tea, as it contains a higher percentage of caffeine, which can cause headaches and even high blood pressure for some.

As a rule, without harm to health, you can drink from 2 to 10 cups of tea per day.
