A player from the Egyptian club Matrouh, playing in the third division of the football league, died during a match against the Al-Saloum club today, Tuesday, after he was taken to the hospital.

And Ibrahim Abu Sanduk, board member of Matrouh Sports Club, announced the death of Sami Saeed, a team player, after he swallowed his tongue.

Sami Said swallowed his tongue after colliding with one of the defenders of the Al-Sallum club, which led to his immediate death after he failed to save his life.

The referee canceled the Matruh-Salum match 15 minutes before its end, after the medical staff of the Matruh club could not save the life of a football player on the field.

This happened before the player was taken by ambulance to a hospital in the province next to the stadium in an attempt to save his life, but the attempts were ultimately unsuccessful.

Sami Said died in Matruh Private Hospital after swallowing his tongue 30 minutes into the second half in a Matruh-Saloum match in the third division league.
