During the trial of those responsible for the terrorist attack in Nice in southern France in 2016, French prosecutors demanded prison terms of up to 15 years for eight defendants in the case.
In counter-terrorism cases, prosecutors demanded that the three main suspects who are being prosecuted on charges of forming a terrorist gang be imprisoned for up to 15 years, but requested that one of the three be excluded from the description of terrorism.
It is worth noting that the attacker, 31-year-old Mohamed Lahuaye Buhel, was killed by police at the scene of the attack after he opened fire on the security forces.
It is noteworthy that the terrorist attack in Nice, which killed 86 people, occurred on July 14, 2016 during the celebration of the National Day of France, and ISIS claimed responsibility for it.
