Hamas called for a general mobilization and held the Israeli government fully responsible for any escalation following Israeli Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir’s threat to storm the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

A Hamas statement said: “The plans and threats of a fascist minister in the new occupation government named Itamar Ben Gvir to desecrate and storm the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque are harbingers of the region igniting, adding fuel to the fire. for which we bear full responsibility for the occupation.”

The statement added: “We call on our patient people and our rebellious youth to mobilize and unite in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque in defense of it in the face of incursions by settlers and their extremist leader named Ben Ghafir. … Support our cause and the right of our people to their land and their Islamic and Christian shrines, which are subjected to the worst forms of desecration and encroachment on their holiness and inviolability.

Extremist Israeli Internal Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir announced yesterday, Sunday, that he intends to visit the Temple Mount during the current week.

And Jewish media reported that Ben-Gvir asked the Israeli police in the city of Jerusalem to arrange for him to visit the Temple Mount on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.
