The study found that, in particular, married men have a 15% lower risk of dying from all causes each year than single men.
This is because they generally have a higher level of satisfaction with their lives, which is another factor associated with a long and healthy life.

Other factors that the Blueprint Calculator takes into account include smoking and drinking habits, whether a person has diabetes, and how often they exercise per week.
