India announced on January 26 the use of the iNCOVACC vaccine against nasal infection, which is a national product of Bharat Biotech. This coincides with the National Day of India.

This was announced to reporters on Sunday by the chairman of the company, Krishna Ela. NDTV quoted Krishna as saying, “On January 26, National Day, the use of the nasal vaccine against Covid infection will be officially announced.”

Last December, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of India approved the inclusion of this drug in the vaccination program as a booster dose for adults (18 years and older).

Those who have been primed with Indian-made Covaxin or Covisield vaccines can now receive the nasal vaccine as a booster dose.
