US equities began trading on Monday with mixed results after strong gains last week as investors weighed the chances that the Federal Reserve (the US central bank) will stop raising interest rates at its next policy meeting.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 8.37 points, or 0.02%, to 33,771.13.
The Standard & Poor’s 500 rose 0.62 points, or 0.01%, to 4,282.99.
While the Nasdaq Composite fell 2.28 points, or 0.02%, to 13,238.48.
