An Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman said US and European officials’ belief in the possibility of renewing the nuclear deal indicated that the path for diplomacy was still open, noting that Tehran was taking the talks seriously.
Nasser Kanaani said today, Saturday, that “what he hears from European and even American officials indicate that they continue to view the nuclear agreement as an agreement to resolve differences over the Iranian nuclear dossier,” and added: “Their belief in the renewal of the agreement gives grounds for hope, especially Iran, as a party to the agreement, is serious about the process of diplomacy and negotiations.
Negotiations aimed at resurrecting the nuclear agreement signed between Iran on the one hand and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council, in addition to Germany, on the other hand, stalled due to the inability of the US and Iran to agree on the final text of the agreement presented by the European mediator .
