Today, on Wednesday, employees of the Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv went on strike in protest against the failure of the airport management to fulfill their obligations under the contracts concluded with them.
And Israeli media reported that airport officials halted check-in procedures for flights arriving in Israel, causing many flights to be delayed beyond schedule and long lines of arrivals and departures forming in front of the departure and check-in windows.
The Times of Israel stated that airport employees are not satisfied with their working conditions as their wages were cut in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic in early 2020.
According to the newspaper, although the Airport Employees Association announced that the strike would end at 2:00 pm Tel Aviv time, confusion and delays in flights to and from Israel are expected.
