The Saudi Ports Authority announced the opening of a new logistics zone at the Islamic Port of Jeddah in collaboration with LogiPoint, a Cisco group company with a total area of ​​72,000 sq. m. meters and an investment value of 150 million rials.

The authorities said in a statement that the new zone provides integrated logistics solutions and value-added services for all types of goods, including medical supplies and medicines, as well as chilled and frozen goods.

The region will work to provide services to e-commerce companies, providing them with advanced and reliable technological support in addition to the integrated information technology system and clean energy solutions in line with the strategic national plans for environmental conservation.

She explained that the refrigeration services provided by the region contribute to the expansion and upgrading of logistics services and refrigeration supply chains at the Islamic Port of Jeddah, as well as confirming its competitive advantage in the top 10 ports in the world.

She stated that the area is equipped with the latest security equipment and systems, as well as international standards to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to a minimum, in line with the goals of the Saudi Green Initiative.
