The head of the department assured that this emergency situation would not affect navigation in the canal, since all ships coming from the northern direction passed as usual, and shipping coming from the southern direction was organized to redirect the transit of ships from the western channel to the eastern channel.
Lieutenant General Rabi confirmed that the authorities have the necessary experience in rescue operations and the necessary means of navigational and technical insurance in order to professionally deal with potential emergencies.
