The oil industry in Egypt depends on imports for about 96% of the oils used in production, and 4% is provided locally, since the number of companies producing oils in Egypt is 40 plants.

The Minister of Agriculture said: “We are working to encourage farmers to increase their soybean planting area, which has reached 150 acres this year, especially since it provides an important benefit in terms of feed supply.”
