Data from the Turkish Ministry of Tourism showed today, Friday, that the number of foreign visitors increased by 16.2% in May compared to the same period last year and amounted to 4.5 million people.
This compares to 3.87 million foreign visitors in May 2022 and less than one million in May 2021 in light of the strong impact of measures taken to limit the spread of Covid-19.
Russians, Germans and Britons topped the list of foreign visitors to Turkey in May, according to the data.
