Argentine star Lionel Messi, who recently joined Inter Miami, celebrated an exceptional career milestone.
Messi posted through his official social media accounts two photos of himself celebrating the 2020 Copa América with his co-stars.
Leo wrote “two years” in reference to the second anniversary of winning the title in this tournament, beating Brazil 1-0 in the final match.
The title was Messi’s first in an Argentina jersey and also opened the way for him to win the Ballon d’Or in 2021.
After that, the Argentinean fulfilled his biggest dream – to win the last World Cup in 2022 in Qatar at the expense of France from the penalty spot.
With the completion of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Messi has become an important candidate for this year’s Ballon d’Or, along with Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain stars Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe respectively.
It is noteworthy that the 35-year-old Messi left Paris Saint-Germain this summer to move to the American Inter Miami on a free transfer.
