Spanish journalist Gerard Romero, an expert on the European transfer market close to Barcelona, has made a big surprise about the future of Argentinian Lionel Messi, Paris Saint-Germain star.
Messi’s contract with Saint-Germain ends at the end of the current 2022-2023 season after he joined in the summer of 2021, noting that the Argentine star’s contract with the Paris team includes a clause to extend their relationship for an additional season if both sides agree.
Romero wrote via his official Twitter account: “Messi has no intention of renewing his contract with Paris Saint-Germain.

He added: “Messi’s victory at the World Cup made him change his attitude towards the future.”
Messi led the Argentina national team to victory at the Qatar 2022 World Cup at the expense of his French counterpart, beating him on penalties (4-2) in the final match that brought them together on Sunday, December 18 at Lusail Stadium.
Messi won the title of the best player in the World Cup in Qatar.
The 35-year-old Messi’s name has recently been associated with a move to play in the Arab region, from the gates of the Saudi Al-Hilal, like his Portuguese rival Cristiano Ronaldo, who currently defends the colors of the Saudi club Al-Nasr.
