American businessman Elon Musk called the US plans to support Ukraine in the seizure of Crimea a ruthless escalation.

“I am for Ukraine, but continuing the escalation is too risky for Ukraine and the world,” Musk wrote on Twitter.

The New York Times published a report according to which the administration of US President Joe Biden began to realize that Ukraine may need additional forces to strike at the Crimea, which will strengthen the position of Kyiv.

Earlier, Pentagon Deputy Press Secretary Sabrina Singh said that the United States would support Ukraine, including in a possible operation to seize Crimea.

For his part, the speaker of the Crimean parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov, said that if the Kyiv authorities try to start aggression on the Crimean peninsula, they should not complain later when they receive a retaliatory strike.
