Russia’s permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, said that negotiations on the Ukrainian crisis should be conducted not with Ukraine, but with the United States.
Speaking at a special session of the General Assembly of the World Organization of Ukraine, Nebenzya said: “The search for a solution to this whole situation, which threatens the greatest negative consequences for all of humanity in the event of a direct clash between Russia and NATO, should not be between Russia and Ukraine, but between Russia and the collective West, first of all by Washington, which stands behind the Kiev regime.”
He stressed: “We are ready to look for a long-term diplomatic solution to this crisis, and we have spoken about this many times. Our adversaries have not yet recovered from their false illusions about the possibility of defeating a nuclear power. Therefore, we must eliminate the reasons that forced us to launch a special operation by military means a year ago.”
Nebenzya noted that the West is ready to “plunge the whole world into war” in an attempt to defeat Moscow.
The Russian delegate added: “Moscow sees what is happening in Ukraine as a war with the West for survival.”
Russia calls to support the Belarusian amendments to the UN General Assembly draft resolution on Ukraine, Nebezia said, and if it is not adopted, we will vote against.
Nebenzia noted that Western countries have been purposefully preparing and equipping Ukraine for a war against Russia for many years.
“Thanks to the well-known revelations of a number of retired Western leaders, today there is no doubt that under the guise of the Minsk agreements approved by the UN Security Council, the West was deliberately preparing Ukraine for a war against Russia,” he said. said.
