The Arab Club Championship is played intermittently and was last held in 2020, with the Moroccan club Raja winning it at the expense of the Saudi Federation, defeating it on penalties.

Participating teams and tournament system in the Arab Club Championship 2023:

The Secretary General of the Arab Federation Raja Allah Al-Salami said that the championship of the Arab countries will be held with the participation of 37 teams.

Al-Salami noted that various Arab federations have been asked to send their candidates to participate in this year’s Arab Club Championship.

The Secretary General of the Arab Federation indicated that the championship will be held according to the system of preliminary rounds, then the final qualifying rounds, which will be held this summer in 3 Saudi cities: Abha, Al-Baha and Taif.

The dates of the qualifiers and finals will be announced later, after agreement with the Arab Federations and the Saudi Federation, the organizer of the tournament.

The Arab Football Association has provided $10 million in prizes to be distributed to the clubs participating in the 2023 Arab Club Championship.

The draw for the Arab Club Championship is due to take place in early March 2023.
