The Wall Street Journal reported, citing Ukrainian officials and Western diplomats, that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) plans to place its monitors at all nuclear power plants in Ukraine.

Sources told the newspaper that International Atomic Energy Agency Director General Rafael Grossi intends to place two or three observers at all Ukrainian nuclear plants, which are “Southern Ukraine”, during his visit to Ukraine next week. , “Rivne” and “Khmelnitsky”.

It is also planned to send specialists to the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, which was shut down after the 1986 disaster.

It should be noted that IAEA observers have been working since September last year at the Zaporozhye NPP, which was seized by Russian troops in March 2022 and became the property of the Russian state by decree of President Vladimir Putin in October last year.
