Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced an important speech by Russian President Vladimir Putin next Friday, June 16, as part of the plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

Peskov announced this today, Wednesday, at a press briefing. Peskov did not disclose the issues that the president will touch upon in his speech.

Peskov also added that the president is informed about the course of hostilities in the zone of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine through the commanders present on the battlefield.

On the Crimean peninsula, a Kremlin spokesman said that the Crimean peninsula is Russian territory and no one can rent it.

Peskov also commented on the safe area that the president was talking about, given that the Kiev regime now has long-range weapons, which necessitates the transfer of the safe line to ensure the security of Russian lands.

Regarding the grain deal, Peskov said that Russia could withdraw from the grain deal after it is completed.
