On Wednesday (Thursday local time), North Korea conducted a tactical nuclear strike exercise as a “warning” after the United States deployed strategic bombers to the region.

Details of the Exercise

The Korean Central News Agency reported that the missile unit fired two tactical ballistic missiles in a northeasterly direction at Pyongyang International Airport, successfully completing the nuclear strike mission.

South Korea’s Response

The South Korean military confirmed that North Korea fired two short-range ballistic missiles into the sea on Wednesday evening. This came shortly after the United States deployed B-1B bombers as part of a joint air exercise between the two allies.
