ChatGPT, the popular OpenAI website, is estimated to have reached 100 million monthly active users last January, just two months after its launch, making it the fastest growing website in history, according to a UBS report.
ChatGPT had an average daily usage of 13 million visitors in January, the report said, more than double the level of December last year.
And OpenAI announced a $20 monthly subscription, initially only for US users, noting that it will provide a more stable and faster service, in addition to being able to try out new features.
“ChatGPT” for chat is reported to answer user questions and queries using artificial intelligence, and is also able to solve complex mathematical problems, as well as write programming codes.
In this regard, OpenAI, the owner of ChatGPT, has created a new software tool to identify and detect AI-generated text from human-typed text.
And OpenAI indicated that the new tool is working to address issues such as misinformation and academic cheating, amid growing criticism of the company’s CHATGPT app for helping students cheat.
OPENAI stated that the new tool is unreliable in texts less than 1000 characters long, as well as in texts written by artificial intelligence and then edited by a human.
