Salah Hamed Mahrus, the father of Egyptian star Mohammed Salah, has confirmed the theft of his son’s villa in Cairo, indicating that he does not yet have full knowledge of the theft due to his presence outside of Egypt.

Salah’s father, in exclusive statements to the Cairo 24 website, said that Mohamed Salah’s agent is currently being contacted to inquire about the theft of the villa and notify his son of the incident in order to take action on the matter.

Egyptian media reported earlier Sunday that Salah’s villa in eastern Cairo had been robbed.

The Al-Ahram newspaper reported that the authorities were continuing their efforts to uncover the circumstances surrounding the theft of Salah’s villa.
