Former Assistant Foreign Minister of Egypt Rakha Ahmed Hassan said that Russia seeks to develop relations with African countries by holding the second summit of the Russian-African Economic and Humanitarian Forum.
In an exclusive statement to RT, he added that Russian President Vladimir Putin will listen to the demands and opinions of African leaders during the summit, and then funds will be allocated for investment and support for Africa, from July 27 to 28, with the aim of developing relations between Russia and African countries.
He noted that Japan and China are the first two countries to diversify and develop their relations with African countries, noting that this summit is an opportunity to present an African perspective.
Russian Ambassador to Cairo Georgy Borisenko said that Moscow is looking forward to the participation of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in the next summit in July next year.
Borisenko said at the Russia-Africa Dialogue Forum that the new summit will be held in St. Petersburg, the leaders of 54 African countries are invited to it, and we are looking forward to the arrival of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and other representatives of Egypt.
