Spanish website Relevo reported on Friday that Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez has accepted French star Kylian Mbappé’s apology and will join him in the summer of 2024 for free.
Mbappe blew up Mercato last summer by renewing his contract with Paris Saint-Germain after all reports pointed to his imminent move to Real Madrid, angering fans and the royal club management.
At the time, Real Madrid president Pérez confirmed that there was pressure on Mbappe to extend his contract with Saint-Germain and left the door open for the possibility of the French star joining Merengue in the future.
And Relivo’s website reports that Mbappe has apologized to Perez for breaking his promise to not join Real Madrid in the summer of 2022 and signing a new contract with the French capital club.
And the Spanish site added that Real Madrid will now resume their pursuit of the 24-year-old to sign him.
Relevo said Mbappe’s name was mentioned in a meeting with Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti and Pérez yesterday Thursday, but the president confirmed it was not possible to include the French international this summer and would wait until summer 2019. 2024 at the end of his contract with Saint-Germain to include him for free.
