Real Madrid have announced that their German midfielder Toni Kroos has joined the team’s mission hours before they face host side Liverpool in the first leg of the Champions League final.

Real Madrid posted on their Twitter account about two hours before the match against Liverpool a photo of Kroos and commented: “Toni Kroos has joined the list of called-ups for today’s match!”

And the head coach of Real Madrid, Italian Carlo Ancelotti, previously excluded Kroos from the squad for the match with Liverpool due to the fact that he had the flu (common cold).
