The Real Madrid team achieved a big victory over their guest Elche by four goals without answer in the match that brought them together on Wednesday night, rescheduled from the 21st round of the Spanish football league La Liga.

Croatian veteran star Luka Modric finished in the Al Meringe quadrant ten minutes before the end of regular time at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium in the capital Madrid.

Real Madrid have raised their tally to 48 points from this victory and are second in the league standings, narrowing the gap to 8 points between themselves and arch-rivals La Liga leaders Barcelona.

So far Elche is at the bottom of the standings with only 9 points.
