On the set of Game of Thrones, where they portrayed the roles of Jon Snow and Ygritte, respectively, Kit Harington and Rose Leslie became friends. Right before the show concluded, they married and had their first child in 2021. Harington stated that his son is about to have “the shock of his life” as he is about to “receive a brother or sister” during an interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
I’m scared,” Harington confessed. For nine months after having a baby, “you’re like strolling over clouds and dancing through fields of daisies, well, the man is.” The reality check is much shorter this time. You quickly become pragmatic.
Harington said his two-year-old son hasn’t “conceptually processed it quite yet” regarding what he thinks of the new baby.
He is being prepared for it by us. We exclaim, “Mommy’s baby,” and point to Rose’s abdomen. And he says, “My baby,” pointing at his belly.
Fallon also questioned Harington about the possibility of a Jon Snow-centered Game of Thrones spinoff, which we know is currently in the planning stages at HBO. That does not, however, ensure that it will. Harington pondered, “I can’t say anything on that, but I dunno, guy.”
My ego is damaged since I no longer get recognized as much when I stroll down the street. I’m almost ready to put on some furs.
I keep track of how few photos I receive requests for each day, and when that number drops below a specific threshold, I plan to launch the spinoff.
Okay, you heard the man correctly: lie and say you don’t recognize him if you see him on the street.
Kit Harington delivered the Jon Snow show to HBO, complete with a writer and showrunner in tow, so he’s probably being a little coy here, based on what we know about the project. He came up with the idea and wants it to happen. We’ll have to wait and see if it goes through.
You can watch Harington in his newest film, Baby Ruby. The Fallon segment above includes a clip from the film. Having Kit Harington speak with an American accent is interesting, as it usually is.
