Russian Ambassador to Manama Alexei Skosyrev said that Russia and Bahrain are studying proposals to create grain and gas centers.
“The interested authorities of Russia and Bahrain continue to study proposals for the creation of many mega-projects, including the project of a grain center, a gas center and a plant for the production of Russian drugs,” Skoserev said.
The Russian Ambassador pointed out that Russia and Bahrain continue cooperation in the military sphere, despite the current geopolitical situation, according to the Russian Sputnik agency.
He continued: “I can say that military-technical cooperation is still ongoing, albeit in a modest form, and there are existing contacts between the defense departments.”
Four years ago, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia discussed a project to create a grain center in Bahrain, but the project was never implemented. The project is focused on the supply of Russian grain to the countries of the Persian Gulf and the Middle East.
