The Senegal national team won the Algiers 2022 African Championship for local players, beating their Algerian counterpart 5-4 on penalties in the final match that brought them together today, Saturday.

And the Desert Warriors team managed to decide the outcome of the match in their favor in a penalty shoot-out (5-4) on the territory of the Nelson Mandela stadium in the Algerian city of Baraki.

Senegal lifted the league cup for the first time in its history, depriving Algeria of the dream of winning their first title.

While the Madagascar national team finished third at the expense of their Nigerian counterpart, beating him with a single goal in a match that brought them together on Friday night at the Nelson Mandela stadium in the Algerian city of Baraki.
