The Iranian agency IRNA published a video of Parliament Speaker Muhammad Baker Ghalibaf, in which he himself flies in a civilian passenger plane and heads to the city of Khoy, which was hit by the recent earthquake.
According to the agency, Qalibaf went to the city to supervise rescue operations and provide assistance to the population.
Qalibaf is a certified Airbus pilot and was the Air Force Commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps for many years.
