Buckingham Palace has announced that it will be celebrating the coronation of Charles III as King of Great Britain, and the celebrations will continue for three days and will include a concert with world stars.

The Palace said in a statement that the event will take place over the weekend, from Saturday 6 to Monday 8 May 2023. King Charles III and Queen Camilla will be crowned at Westminster Abbey. After the coronation, they will return to Buckingham Palace, where, along with other members of the royal family, they will greet people from the balcony.

According to the statement, a concert featuring world stars will take place on May 7 at Windsor Castle. Famous orchestras will take part in the concert, in addition to the Coronation Choir, which will include members of deaf and refugee orchestras.

And on the evening of May 7, the main attractions of Great Britain will be illuminated. A “big dinner” is planned, when the people of Britain will be able to gather and celebrate the coronation of the king in every house and on every street.

The message from Buckingham Palace also said that volunteer work is planned for landscaping on May 8.

Queen Elizabeth II, Queen of Great Britain, who ruled the country for more than 70 years, died on September 8, 2022 in Scotland at the age of 96. Her son, Prince Charles, became king and received the name Charles III, and his wife Camilla assumed the title of queen.
