Morocco deported French student Sebastien Raoult to the United States of America, where authorities charged him with cybercrimes.
This was reported by the AFP agency, citing a source in the Moroccan police.
The source added that “Raoul’s handover took place Wednesday on a flight from Casablanca Airport to New York, and the operation was carried out by FBI agents.”
In turn, the newspaper “Le Parisien” previously reported that a 21-year-old student was arrested in Morocco at the request of the US authorities, who claim that he is a member of the international pirate group “Brilliant Hunters”.
The newspaper indicated that the defendant is accused of “committing fraud through the Internet and taking possession of personal data.”
According to his lawyer Philip Ohayon, in the United States, Raul faces up to 116 years in prison.
