Drinks That Affect Your Health and Appearance

Dr. Chhota Kalandia, a specialist in gastroenterology, highlights the impact of drinks on a person’s health and appearance.

The Importance of Drinking Water

In an interview with the Izvestia newspaper, Dr. Kalandia emphasizes the significance of drinking enough water daily. This is essential for maintaining good health, improving digestion, absorbing nutrients, eliminating toxins, and supporting metabolism. Water also enhances the functioning of all body systems and organs, ultimately slowing down the aging process.

The Benefits of Natural Juices

Dr. Kalandia classifies natural juices as healthy beverages. For instance, acai berry juice improves eyesight, aids in diabetes treatment, and promotes youthfulness. Pomegranate juice is rich in vitamins A, C, and E, as well as minerals like zinc, selenium, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, iron, and sodium. It positively affects the heart, blood vessels, and fights harmful bacteria. Grape juice contains acid, ascorbic acid, and vitamin B, which help preserve memory and enhance the condition of the skin, nails, and hair.

The Positive Effects of Green Tea

According to Dr. Kalandia, green tea contributes to a better appearance due to its content of catechins and polyphenols, substances that slow down the aging process in the body.

The Anti-Aging Properties of Coffee

Coffee contains caffeic acid, which stimulates collagen production and thus slows down the aging process. It also contains antioxidants that protect cells from free radicals.

The Benefits of Cocoa

Dr. Kalandia suggests that cocoa is beneficial as well. It contains pantothenic acid, which prevents moisture loss through the skin, folic acid that aids collagen production, and vitamin A, which safeguards the skin against wrinkles and age spots.

Consult Your Doctor

The doctor advises caution, as these drinks may have adverse effects on certain individuals. It is important to consult your doctor before incorporating them into your routine.
