The Beats by Dre brand of products from Apple is introducing a new collaboration with the graphic artist Verdy. Based in Tokyo, the Girls Don’t Cry project features a unique set of Beats Flex earphones specially designed with a blue and red color scheme and a heart charm that can be removed from the cable.
As part of the partnership, an advertisement campaign will feature model Jasmine Daniels. She will be seen in a bedroom decorated in Girls Don’t Cry style while listening to Koteri’s “Something I Need.”
Verdy shared his excitement about working on the Beats Flex earphones by saying, “I’m really happy to work on them because it’s the style that my wife prefers.” “In the past, we created a friends-and-family version; therefore, I am thrilled to make this special colorway available to the general public,” she said.
When introduced in late 2020, Beats Flex was intended to be the Beats product line’s most budget-friendly option. The Beats Flex is an improved version of the BeatsX model from before. It uses Bluetooth to establish a wireless connection to your device. However, each earbud has its cable that wraps around the back of the neck and connects to the others.
The earphones’ battery, electronic components, and physical controls are all housed in inline modules along the cable. Initially, you could purchase a Standard Beats Flex for $49.99. Despite this, Apple raised the price to $69.99 in late 2021, most likely due to supply chain issues that increased the cost of individual components. However, there have been sporadic sales that have brought the price down to the $50 range on occasion.
Beginning on Saturday, April 1st, the limited-edition Girls Don’t Cry Beats Flex can be purchased for $69.99 (£69.99 / 9800) at Girlsdontcryshop.com and Dover Street Market locations in the United States of America, the United Kingdom of Great Britain, and Japan. Additionally, on April 1st, Verdy will be hosting a one-day-only special retail pop-up shop at the Rise Above Gallery in Osaka, Japan.
