The game will be released this year, according to a recent earnings call by Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav.
He noted that there are still many more to come, such as the eagerly anticipated Mortal Kombat 12 and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League video games, both of which are scheduled for release this year with high launch expectations.
The news validates a game that many believed to be in production but that no one had publicly mentioned. Ed Boon, the game’s designer, responded to the mention on Twitter by making a lighthearted jest about the other well-known NetherRealm IP, Injustice.
He asked, “So, has everybody heard the news about Injustice 3?”
So who has heard the news about INJUSTICE 3 ?

There is no information available regarding when the game will be fully revealed. Based on the history of disclosures, an official announcement will likely occur this summer, around E3.
For some time, there had been rumors about the upcoming game in the 30-year-old brand. According to journalist Jeff Grub’s statement, as early as 2021, the studio prioritized Mortal Kombat above Injustice.
“Mortal Kombat 12 would make the most sense because it is a game they know would earn money, which ties up with reality and what I’ve heard. It’ll sell well, he predicted.
