The Egyptian Building Materials Export Council announced an 8% increase in marble and granite exports to $295 million in 2022 from $273 million in 2021.

A report from the Building Materials, Metals and Refractory Export Council added that marble and granite exports grew by 3.9% to reach 1,608 million tons in 2022, up from 1,547 million tons in 2021.

He noted that 5 countries accounted for 55.9% of Egypt’s total marble and granite exports worth US$164.803 million from 116 countries exported during 2022.

The volume of deliveries of Egyptian marble and granite exported to the 5 largest importing countries amounted to about 946,844 thousand tons.
